This particular project was for Collingswood's Knight Park. The town commissioned local artists to participate in a competition to create a piece of artwork for Knight Park that would serve as a lasting contribution to the town. This piece speaks to the history of the park and Mr. Knight. Mr. Knight was a railroad baron in the early part of the 1800s. He was also a major player in the Philadelphia Sugar trade along with Delaware River. This piece alludes to those facts in a contemporary way. The sculpture would utilize donated railroad rails donated by the Patco hi-speed line that runs through Collingswood. The tumbled recycled glass would come from a local glass company located within the town.
